According to data from GACC, in the first eight months of 2023, China imported 624,000 tons of South American white shrimp (including black tiger shrimp) from Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico and Nicaragua, which is close to the total import volume of 2021. An increase of 35.5% over the same period in 2022.
