Academician Gui Jianfang from the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Speech Topic: "Modern Genetic Breeding Technology Boosting the Development of Aquatic Food"

Academician Gui recalled that in the more than 40 years of agricultural development since the reform and opening up, the fisheries sector took the lead, promptly transforming and upgrading. Aquaculture has been the fastest-growing industry in food production. China's fisheries sector has undergone a blue transformation with a focus on aquaculture. After years of development, China's aquaculture has successfully made a significant impact on the world. Freshwater aquaculture has been recognized by international senior economists as a model example of sustainable aquaculture and food security for humanity's future. Since 2022, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization has advocated for a blue transformation centered on aquaculture, promoting aquatic products as "blue food" that enhances national nutrition and its environmentally friendly properties with low carbon emissions, which has become an international frontier and hotspot. With 40 years of experience in breeding practice, Academician Gui took the cultivation of polyploid gibel carp as an example to illustrate the role of new aquatic varieties in the development of new productive forces, emphasizing that innovation in modern genetic breeding technology is an inexhaustible source for promoting the development of aquatic food. At the same time, Academician Gui introduced ten paradigm shifts for the high-quality development of aquaculture in the future, indicating innovative development directions for industry practitioners.

Dong Qiufen, General Manager of Lingxianweilai Supply Chain Service (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd.

Speech Topic: "Development Trends of Imported Aquatic Products under the New Economic Situation"

China is the world's largest aquaculture country and aquatic product consumption market, ranking first globally in the import of basa fish and shrimp. Under the new economic situation, China's imported aquatic product market is exhibiting trends of diversification and high-quality development. With the enhancement of consumers' health awareness, there is a growing focus on safety, nutritional value, and environmental protection, leading to a shift in market demand towards high-end products. This report combines the current characteristics of domestic and international aquaculture to analyze the consumption patterns of aquatic products under the current economic situation and predict the development trends of imported aquatic products. It aims to provide insights and references for industry peers, helping them seize new business opportunities in the aquatic industry in this new era.

Liu Haihua, Deputy General Manager of Tongyi Group

Speech Topic: "Cultivating Healthy and Delicious 'Tongyi' Shrimp through the 'Three Goods' Model: Antibiotic-Free, Pollution-Free, and Quality-Oriented"

In recent years, with the increase in global shrimp farming density, diseases have shifted from early viral diseases to bacterial diseases, leading to outbreaks and severe economic losses for farmers. To combat bacterial diseases, farmers have resorted to heavy use of antibiotics, posing a threat to consumer health. Tongyi Company has addressed this dilemma through its advanced "Three Goods" shrimp farming technology model. By adopting scientific management and technical measures, the company has significantly reduced the use of antibiotics, fundamentally enhancing the food safety of shrimp. At the same time, they have optimized feed formulation technology, which not only improves the growth rate and survival rate of shrimp but also enhances their meat quality and taste. This model, through recirculating aquaculture and wastewater treatment technologies, reduces environmental pollution and promotes the development of sustainable aquaculture.

Dr. Hu Huihua from Chia Tai Food (Xiangyang) Co., Ltd.

Speech Topic: "Development Trends and Processing Technologies of Aquatic Prefabricated Cuisine"

Driven by both national policies and market demand, the aquatic prefabricated cuisine industry is experiencing rapid development, with its market size expected to exceed RMB 100 billion. With the successive promulgation of new regulations on prefabricated cuisine, the public has gained a clearer understanding of its concept and scope, while also posing stricter quality management requirements on prefabricated cuisine manufacturers. This report explores how to help enterprises excel in a competitive market and meet consumers' growing demand for high-quality and convenient food. Furthermore, by promoting standardized production and technological advancements, the report aims to drive the standardization and specialization of the entire industry, ensuring product quality consistency and safety. Additionally, analyzing and exploring the path to high-quality development will provide a solid basis for policymakers to support the sustainable development of the industry.

Shu Rui, Chairman of Guangzhou Guanxing Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd.

Speech Topic: "Upgrade of the Aquatic Industry under the Influence of 'Bay Area Certification': Win-Win Strategies for Quality Assurance and Market Expansion"

"Bay Area Certification" bridges the gap between the "three stages before" and "three stages after" in the agricultural product industry by implementing strict quality standards and a certification compensation mechanism, driving the upgrading and transformation of the entire agricultural product industry chain. Through certification, agricultural products can not only establish a brand image, enhance market competitiveness, and achieve "high quality at a high price" but also safeguard consumers' purchasing experiences and rights. More importantly, "Bay Area Certification" lays a solid foundation for the future development of the industry. After obtaining "Bay Area Certification," enterprises will have broader development prospects and market opportunities, which is conducive to promoting the overall progress and sustainable development of the agricultural industry. In the future, as more enterprises join "Bay Area Certification," the entire agricultural industry will usher in a new era of healthier, more orderly, and innovative development.
